We’ve moved! Check out our FULL article here. Summary below.

The NIU BQi-C3 Pro is the first electric bike from NIU, a brand renowned for scooters. This move into the e-bike domain reflects the rising popularity of electric bikes. The BQi-C3 Pro stands out with its Gates Carbon Drive, a feature typically found on more expensive e-bikes. This system is nearly silent and low-maintenance, providing riders with an excellent experience.

The bike boasts two built-in 48V 9.6 Ah batteries, offering a total of 921.6 Wh. These UL-certified batteries can be charged simultaneously using a Y-splitter, enhancing convenience. The BQi-C3 Pro’s TFT LCD display is impressive, resembling a car speedometer, and provides essential information.

Featuring 27.5-inch by 2.4-inch puncture-resistant Chao Yang tires with Kevlar Aramid Fiber lining, this e-bike offers stability on various terrains. However, it lacks suspension. The bright halo light works well for casual night riding, but for more demanding situations, an upgraded handlebar light may be needed.

Despite its advantages, the bike uses mechanical disc brakes, and it could benefit from hydraulic disc brakes. The bike is on the heavier side, weighing 70.5 lbs.

In conclusion, the NIU BQi-C3 Pro is ideal for long-distance riding on smooth pavement, featuring the reliable Gates Carbon Drive system. However, it may require some upgrades, such as better brakes and suspension, for an optimal riding experience.
