Beecool Challenger Electric Bike Review: Basically a Motorcycle with Pedals

We’ve moved! Check out our FULL article here. Summary below.

The Beecool Challenger is a striking eBike, reminiscent of a cruiser motorcycle, featuring ape-style handlebars and a massive frame with a battery that resembles a gas tank. It stands out with a unique and distinct design, often mistaken for a motorcycle at first glance. However, its exceptional appearance comes with some drawbacks.

The Challenger boasts the largest battery in the eBike market, offering impressive range, but it’s also the heaviest eBike we’ve reviewed. Riding it feels more like cruising on a motorcycle than traditional bicycling, providing a distinctive experience.

The key highlights of the Beecool Challenger include a high-speed capability of up to 33 mph with throttle alone, a sharp TFT LCD display, full suspension, a loud motorcycle horn, and excellent lighting features with front-facing lights and brake lights. Its massive 30 Ah battery can potentially achieve the stated 60-95 mile range, but the wide battery placement may impede pedaling comfort.

Despite its uniqueness and impressive features, the Beecool Challenger has its downsides. The speedometer is not entirely accurate, front suspension travel is less than claimed, and the bike does not deliver a traditional biking experience. Adjusting the seat height isn’t possible, and the battery’s bulk interferes with pedaling. Moreover, the crankset and freewheel lack sufficient resistance for effective pedaling.

In conclusion, the Beecool Challenger is an ideal choice for those seeking leisurely rides or smooth commutes and appreciate the motorcycle-like experience it offers. Its standout design and range are its primary strengths. However, if you prefer a traditional biking experience, this eBike might not be the right fit. It’s a unique-looking eBike that delivers a motorcycle-like ride feel.
